Research Description
Our research program focuses on understanding how proteins fold and misfold into amyloid states in both health and disease. Using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates structural, biochemical, cellular, and computational methods, we aim to unravel the mechanisms underlying the formation of pathological and functional amyloids. Our ultimate goal is to develop innovative strategies for diagnosing and treating amyloid-related diseases while enhancing our understanding of normal amyloid-regulated processes.
