What exactly do you want to do?

If you want to add/subtract residues to loops, then you can manually edit the PDB to have more/fewer residues, then use the “build_initial” option in the loop_modeling executeable to remodel it.

I’m not sure what “loop insertion” means, but fragment insertion + CCD closure (a standard mode for the loop_modeling executable might do it.
